Where do I find Flex Assessment Testing?
I've been accepted into the Adobe Community Experts Program for Flex. The Adobe Community Experts Program is a community based program made up of Adobe customers who share their product expertise with the world-wide Adobe community. The Adobe Community Experts' mission is to provide high caliber peer-to-peer communication educating and improving the product skills of Adobe customers worldwide.
It is an honor to finally be accepted into the program; I know that slots are highly sought after; and have been trying to get into the program for 3-4 years. But, enough about me.
Today's question comes from a Senior Recruiter who contacted me through the Flex Directory. I suspect she also contacted a bunch of other resources in the list too.
This is a tricky one because I don't have an answer. When I do hire, I generally go after personality / value fit with the idea to train up as needed. However, that doesn't negate the need to evaluate the skills a candidate claims to have.
I know that Sean has been twittering about creating such a test, but I'm not sure who his client is, nor if the tests will be available to the general populace.
For years I've been performing tech interviews for clients and offered such service to the recruiter (although people who contact me through that directory rarely ever follow up, so I'm not expecting to hear back).
So, what tools do you use to qualify Flex Developers?

However, such testing isn't geared towards companies looking to qualify candidates as part of the interview process.
Thank you very much for the mention. The company I authored the questions for is ReviewNet. I believe the questions are going to be used to test candidates for job placement. I am not sure on ReviewNet's policies for access to the questions at this time. More information should be available on their website: http://www.reviewnet.net
In regards to the highly sensitive topic of Flex Developer Certification. It does take knowledge of Flex to pass the exam. Your average Joe can't just walk in, sit down and pass the test. In that regard I believe it does provide an indicator of general Flex development related knowledge. Overall it is probably a good thing, especially if someone is taking their own time and money to study and pass. (As I did with my both my Flash and Flex developer certifications.)
Thanks again for the mention. Writing the questions for ReviewNet was a great experience and forced me to really dig into the details of app development with Flex.
The new FlexShow is great. John is a great co-host. Keep up the great work!
Regards,
Sean
Good to see you get some recognition for your efforts.

Thanks! I'm pretty happy about it.
